Yvonne McCord, born Carol Heath, was a naive waitress and aspiring singer from Los Angeles who moved to Tokyo after being hired by American agent Cavanaugh and Japanese agent Shiro for a job at the White Orchid nightclub. Upon arrival, she discovered that the club was a front for prostitution controlled by Yakuza. Stranded without money or her passport, McCord wasprotected by Shiro but pressured to cater to clients' propositions.
