Stasia Micula, known professionally as Samantha Fox, was an American film and B-movie actress active in the 1970s and 1980s. Born in New York City in 1950, she studied art at Sarah Lawrence College before embarking on a career that would span over 100 films. Initially a dancer, she entered the entertainment industry and became an icon in the adult film genre, known for portraying confident, sex-positive middle-class women. Notable adult film appearances included Roommates, A Night to Dismember, and The Devil in Miss Jones 2. Fox made a transition to mainstream and B-movies in the 1980s. After largely retiring from the industry in the 1990s and early 2000s, she worked as a fitness and aerobics instructor. Fox was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2002. She passed away in 2020 due to cardiovascular complications related to COVID-19.
