Robin Sherwood, born to a prominent family in Miami Beach, Florida, began her acting career at age nine. She lost her mother to cancer at eleven and navigated adolescence independently, learning about womanhood through literature and movies. After signing with a talent agency at fourteen, she modeled for Glamour Magazine and Oleg Cassini before studying acting at Sarah Lawrence College. Sherwood's film debut was in 'Coming Attractions' (1980), followed by notable roles in 'Tourist Trap' (1979) and 'Hero at Large' (1980). She gained international recognition for her performance as Charles Bronson's daughter in 'Death Wish II' (1982).
