María Rojo, born María de Lourdes Rojo e Incháustegui on August 15, 1943 in Mexico City, is a renowned Mexican actress with a career spanning over six decades. Despite struggling with dyslexia and insecurity during her childhood, she displayed exceptional artistic talent at an early age. Rojo's professional acting debut was at the age of eight in the Teatro Fantástico program as the character Ciquirritica. Throughout her prolific career, she has received numerous accolades, including multiple Ariel Awards and the prestigious Premio Bellas Artes.
