Kaela Dobkin is an American actress and producer who has built a versatile career in television and film since the early 1990s. Born into a creative family as the daughter of actor/director Lawrence Dobkin and actress Anne Collings, she often worked alongside her twin sister, Kristy, in her early years. She gained initial recognition for her role as Ariel in the drama series Models Inc. and for her performance in the 1995 cult classic film Kicking and Screaming.
Throughout her career, Dobkin has become a familiar face on television through guest-starring roles in a wide range of popular series. Her credits include appearances in procedural dramas like House, M.D., Without a Trace, and Crossing Jordan, as well as roles in long-running soaps such as The Young and the Restless. Her film work spans various genres, from the action-drama Macon County Jail to the thriller Shadow People. Beyond acting, she has also ventured into production and has been married to director Austin Smithard since 2003.
