She holds a Bachelor's degree in Theater from the Universidade do Estado do Amazonas (UEA) and spent several years honing her craft with the Ateliê 23 performing arts company.
Her career gained national momentum with a role in the Globoplay series Aruanas (2019) and lead performances in acclaimed short films like O Barco e o Rio. Catão achieved international recognition in 2024 for her performance in Karim Aïnouz’s erotic thriller Motel Destino, which competed for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. In the film, she plays Marta, a pivotal character whose encounter with the protagonist Heraldo sets the high-stakes plot in motion.
