Born on December 20, 1984, in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Mexico, Ilean Almaguer is an accomplished actress and producer whose career spans three decades across film and television. Her professional journey began in the late 1990s with roles in productions such as Madame le consul. She gained significant recognition for her work in popular Mexican telenovelas, most notably as Catalina in the hit teen series Atrévete a Soñar and as Jana Torreslanda in Un refugio para el amor. In the thriller El quinto mandamiento (2011), she played the character Gabriela, showcasing her ability to handle darker, more dramatic material in film.
Seeking international expansion, Almaguer moved to Los Angeles in 2016. Since then, she has transitioned into English-speaking roles, appearing in major series such as the Netflix legal drama The Lincoln Lawyer and the sci-fi thriller Counterpart.
