Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, born September 4, 1981 in Houston, Texas, rose to fame as the lead singer of Destiny's Child in the late 1990s. After achieving success with her debut solo album 'Dangerously in Love' in 2003, she continued her musical dominance with albums like 'B'Day' and 'I Am... Sasha Fierce'. Knowles has won a total of 16 Grammy Awards, both as a solo artist and member of Destiny's Child. She began her acting career in 2001, notable roles include 'Carmen: A Hip Hopera' and 'Dreamgirls', for which she earned two Golden Globe nominations.
