Full Biography

Beth Gondek is a Canadian actor of Lebanese / Italian descent and adopted by a Scottish/ Polish family and raised in Toronto. Beth began her career as a model working extensively in fashion and advertising in print and on television for clients like Pontiac G. M ( U. S national) , Wella Hair Care, Lubriderm Skincare and booking campaigns for Boots No.7 Skincare, Miss Vogue magazine, (Germany), Mei-ji Ice-cream (Japan) and Coca-Cola to name a few. She has appeared on the covers of Elle magazine, Marie-Claire and Cosmopolitan and has walked the runway in Paris, Milan, Lisbon and Tokyo. Beth booked her first internationally released film, "Hello Mary-Lou, Prom Night 2". Directed by critically acclaimed director Bruce Pittman, Beth played "Jess" a young student who becomes pregnant . When she is discovered dead it is believed she has committed suicide. Beth auditioned for and was accepted into The Stella Adler Conservatory Program in New York City. She studied Adler's muscle memory technique under Elizabeth Parrish. She was later invited back to the select Master Class Program. Beth studied Shakespeare with Michael Lambert and Mark Hammer (N. Y. C) Voice, Speech and Dialect with Tom Oppenheim (N. Y. C) and Scene Studies with Carol Rosenfeld and Kurt Reiss in Toronto. She has had extensive training as a dancer focused on Classical Ballet and as an instructor teaching technique to young dancers. Upon completion of the Adler program Beth met and auditioned for Aaron Beall one of NYC's up and coming theatre directors and founder of The Lower East Side's, Todo Con Nada Theatre Company and Pure Pop Rep. She headed downtown to join Todo, one of NYC's Off-Broadway jewels working on new and experimental works that were strange, funny, tragic, interesting and odd but one of her favorites was "Vampire Goth Chicks" where she played " Ginger" a singing , dancing vampire. It was written with dice where outcomes are decided by rolling dice. From that collective Pure Pop Rep was born and took its place in one of NYC most infamous and iconic adult theatres, 48th and 8th's Show World. Pure Pop Rep was able to utilize a law passed in NYC by former mayor, Rudy Giuliani. All adult themed businesses had to share space with non-pornographic businesses at a 40-60 split of space as they began to make way for a new family-friendly 42nd St. The theatre was a perfect fit and we took the second floor with the intention of creating small Black Box theatres and produce many plays simultaneously. This is where Caraid O'Brien's translation of Shalom Asche, "God of Vengeance" was produced and performed to critical acclaim and whose version many companies worldwide perform today. Beth starred as "Manke" a prostitute who seduces and then sells an innocent "Rivekela" the daughter of the brothel owner where Manke works. Asche wrote this play in 1906 in Cologne, Germany and is as controversial today as it was in 1906. Caraid O'Brien then introduced Beth to the "Yiddish Digital Theatre Archive Project, NYU, where she worked on, " What's To Be Done With Karpelivski." She played "Mary Perilo" and had the honour of working with Eli Wallach who played God. While still in NYC Beth had the privilege of working with young directors making Independent film. She starred in " Dead Leaves" as "Laura" a film by Constantin Werner. The film went on to win Best Film at, Figuera de Foz International Film Festival, Portugal. Beth has been a supporting character as an insane sycophantic girlfriend, "Nora" in "Entourage" a film by Noel Frankel. As well as other Indies shot in NYC. Returning to Toronto she hooked up with longtime friend and director, Bruce Pittman who cast her in a principal role as " Laura ,"an actress who is quickly aging out of a young woman 's industry. Who is losing herself and her mind after booking a role she never expected to get. Bruce Pittman made " The Last Movie", a film invited to The Moscow International Film Festival, as an Official Selection. It won, Best Foreign Film at Long Island International Film Festival and an Award of Merit at The Lucerne International Film Festival.
