Hermila Guedes is a highly acclaimed Brazilian actress known for her raw, naturalistic performances and her significant contributions to the "Cinema Pernambucano" movement. Born on November 7, 1980, in Cabrobó, Pernambuco, she initially pursued studies in tourism before discovering her passion for acting through theater and short films.

Her breakout role came in 2006 with the critically acclaimed film "Love for Sale" (O Céu de Suely), directed by Karim Aïnouz. Her portrayal of Suely, a young mother who raffles herself off to escape her stagnant life, earned her widespread international recognition and numerous "Best Actress" awards, including honors at the Havana Film Festival and the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival.

Throughout her career, Guedes has balanced high-profile television projects with independent cinema. Story

Ubaldo receives an inheritance that will change his destiny for good. In the heart of the northeast desert, he'll become the leader of a pack of ruthless bandits, fulfilling the legacy of his biological father - a mythical "Cangaceiro".

Summary

Adrift, unhappy, and desperately needing money to pay for his ailing adoptive father's care, Ubaldo - a bank clerk who's unable to remember his childhood years - receives an inheritance that will change his destiny for good. He's drawn to Cratará, in the heart of the northwest desert, where meets his sisters - Dinorah and Dilvania -, his past, and ultimately, his vocation: to become the leader of a pack of dangerous bank robbers. To fulfill the legacy of his biological father - a mythical "Cangaceiro" - Ubaldo must face thieves, corrupt politicians, the local police, and place his own morals in jeopardy.
