Valérie Kaprisky, born Valérie Chérès on August 19, 1962 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, is a French actress. She began her career in soft-core films like 'Aphrodite' before moving to Hollywood for her American debut in the film 'Breathless' (1983), where she co-starred with Richard Gere and had an affair with him off-screen. After its poor reception, she returned to France. She was nominated for a César Award for Best Actress for her role in 'La femme publique' (1984) directed by Andrzej Żuławski.
