Story
Soldaat van Oranje (Soldier of Orange) follows the story of Erik, a young Dutchman who enrolls in the military academy at the outbreak of World War II. During his training, he becomes friends with Gijs and Jan, and falls in love with an older woman, Anna. After graduating, Erik is assigned to a coastal artillery unit where he meets the enigmatic Lt. Weiss. When Germany invades the Netherlands, Erik's unit surrenders but Erik manages to escape with the help of Jan. They join the Resistance, but tensions rise when Erik discovers that Weiss has joined them as well. The film follows their subsequent struggles and betrayals amidst the war.
