Story
Author of detective novels David Rousseau travels to his mother's native village, Mouthe, seeking inspiration for his next book. Upon arrival, he learns that Brother Giacomo, who had important information about his deceased mother, has recently died. Intrigued and needing a break from his writing routine, Rousseau decides to investigate Giacomo's death himself. Soon after, he discovers that the village is plagued by a peculiar serial killer with a devious imagination. Accompanied by a Cartesian gendarme who dreams of being an FBI agent, Rousseau uses his crime writing skills to delve deeper into the investigation.
