Story
The stories of a missing wife, a couple of meth heads and an Elvis impersonator are connected by the items found in a small town's pawn shop.
Summary
In the grimy, sun-bleached windows of 'Hock's Pawn Shop', nestled in the heart of Nowhere Springs, a motley crew of stories unfold. The common thread? The eclectic inventory within these four walls.
First, there's Ricky and Lisa, a meth-addled duo with more needles than sense. Their love story is as tangled as their arms, each vein a map to their shared descent into addiction and madness. Then, there's Bubba, an Elvis impersonator who's lost his gold lame jumpsuit - and maybe his mind too.
But the shop's regulars aren't just for laughs. There's also Johnny, a white supremacist with a heart tattoed on his neck, who'll risk his life for his fellow addicts despite his hateful rhetoric. And then there's Carl, a man driven to desperation by his wife's disappearance. His search leads him down dark alleys and into the arms of some very dangerous men.
Each pawned item in Hock's shop tells a story - a guitar with strings snapped from rage, a wedding ring sold for meth money, an Elvis costume worn at a bachelor party gone wrong. As their paths intertwine like the pawned items themselves, these lost souls find that sometimes, redemption can be found in the unlikeliest of places.
