Story
Melvin White, a neurotic, accident-prone cop who gets demoted to the night shift, secretly moonlights as the Unknown Comic, an anonymous stand-up comedian who performs with a paper bag over his head. When someone using the same guise commits a string of bar robberies in town, some begin to suspect that White is the culprit.
Summary
Melvin White's double life began when a comedy club heckler pushed him too far. Now a neurotic cop demoted to night shift duty after one mishap too many, Melvin donned a paper bag over his head and became "The Unknown Comic," a secret sensation in LA's late-night stages. But when another bag-headed figure starts knocking off bars at knifepoint, whispers of White's guilt echo through the precinct. Haunted by fears of exposure and an identity crisis, Melvin turns to psychiatry, desperate to reconcile his two lives before one crashes into the other.
