Story
In 'Emissary (short)', a man alone in a remote beach shack wakes up at night to the rattling of his old surfboard. He's clearly been drinking heavily and hasn't found happiness for some time. A memory from his past resurfaces, triggering grief and despair. Haunted by this happier time he knows he can't recapture, he takes his surfboard down to the deserted beach intending to end his life by entering the ocean. However, the sea has other plans; it throws something back at him.
