Story
In the isolated countryside village of El eslabón podrido, Raulo, a mentally challenged lumberjack in his fifties, lives with his elderly mother Ercilia and younger sister Roberta. Ercilia is a senile witch doctor who harbors a dark prophecy: if Roberta sleeps with every man in town except Sicilio, she will be cast out and die. Roberta, the village's beloved prostitute, has thus far abstained from being intimate with Sicilio due to his wife's jealousy. As Ercilia's death approaches, her warnings become more insistent.
