Story
Two Autumns in Paris follows Antonio, who arrives in Paris for a conference on human rights. As he travels from the airport to the event hall, he reflects on his past love story with Maria Teresa, which occurred years ago when they were young. Maria Teresa was a political refugee from Paraguay, escaping the dictatorship of Alfredo Stroessner. She was part of a university student political group opposed to the dictatorship. Antonio and Maria Teresa fell in love while she was imprisoned by the regime's military police. They planned to have a child together but decided to live together instead. However, their past caught up with them, forcing Maria Teresa to choose between her present love and her past commitments.
