Story

Summary
Haskell Edwards, once a renowned director, sank into a decade-long spiral of addiction after his Hollywood starlet girlfriend, Cello Shea, took her own life. Now, offered the chance to direct a film about Cello's life, Haskell is stunned when he meets the actress chosen to portray her: a lifelike robot. Horrified yet intrigued, Haskell agrees, assembling old friends and enemies for the production. As he navigates his past relationship with Cello through the lens of this mechanical doppelgänger, Haskell must confront his lingering love and his burgeoning obsession with the machine designed to replace it.
